Under 8's Gala Day

Location: Waratah, Sylvania Waters and Illawong
See the draw below for game times and locations
Time: Be at the ground no later than 8:30am or as advised by your coach
Game: Each team will play 3 games of 45 minutes.

9:00, 10:00 & 11:00

For the Gala day draw the teams are as listed below:

Under 8/ Comets Group "A" Bourke
Under 8/ Comets Group "C" McDonald

Note: Groupings do not indicate grading.

The score sheet

The purpose of the Gala Day is to provide an opportunity for junior tee-ball players, their coaches and parents to participate in a series of non competitive games, where the main focus will be teaching, sharing and grading.

There will be a Coaches/Managers meeting at 8.30am.

Modified rules will apply. Teams will bat through the order then swap over. Scorers will record in score books (supplied in your kit) as usual, then fill out result sheets with total outs and runs for each game. Result sheets will be supplied and collected by Association representatives at the end of the day.

This is a great day to get involved.  Many of you will be new to the game of Tee Ball, even those who have played as adults will find that the rules are slightly different.  So please don't assume that you "know the rules".

You're not alone on the Gala day, as we'll have a mentor from the club with you. The Mentors role is to assist the coach and team, answer any questions and help in making it all happen.

As the day progresses CSJBA graders will be assessing our teams so that we can be placed in divisions that ensure that all teams are evenly matched.

Each field will have a canteen operating.  Please support it.

Don't forget to take:
