Blastball

Welcome to Comets Blastball.

Designed for children aged 4 to 6 years

When is it on?

Blastball runs from the back end of October and finishes last week in Novembers.  The formal session runs from 5:30 to 6:30 each Friday.
To register just turn up 15 minutes early on your first Friday. We will be there to assist you and answer any questions you may have.

What does it cost?

The cost for 2011 is $20.

What do we bring?

Your child should be dressed in normal play clothes and runners or football boots if they have them (don't purchase especially for blastball).

Other items that should be on the check list include:

• Water for your player
• Sun block and hat (club cap if you have purchased one)
• Relaxed attitude.  (Remember this is a gentle introduction to weekend sport)
• While the canteen will be open and the BBQ happening, I'm told that parents' nibbles go well while watching.

What will happen?

Our programme is to develop basic skills of:

• throwing
• catching
• hitting
• running
• fielding

After rotating through the skills stations we will divide into groups and have a blastball game.

And after the game we invite parents and children to stay around and enjoy the BBQ fare and watch the sun set in a relaxed environment.  There is normally a team training on our main diamond and this also entertains the young ones while they devour a sausage from the BBQ.
